Members of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (SAC) in Malawi, also known as Pallottine Missionaries, have expressed hope that the election of a new Delegate Superior for the Society in the East African nation will continue inspiring new vocations.
In their Tuesday, July 29 statement, the Pallottines described the election of Fr. Richard Nyasaland Jere as “a new development” for the Society and its community members in Malawi.
“With joy and gratitude, we, the Pallottine family in Malawi, announce the election of Rev Fr Richard Nyasaland Jere SAC, as the new Delegate Superior of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines) in Malawi,” they said.
The SAC members expressed hope that the Malawi Delegation, under the new leadership of Fr. Jere and the Council consisting of Fr. John Mangwele SAC and Fr. Francis Chibota SAC, would guide and strengthen the presence of the Society in Malawi.
They also expressed confidence that the Malawi Delegate will inspire “the revival of faith, rekindle charity, and inspire more young people to answer the call to serve as apostles” following the vision of their founder, St. Vincent Pallotti and with the support from the leadership of the Pallottines’ Province of the Heart, which is headquartered in Friedberg, Germany,
