Members of the Ghana National Catholic Youth Council (GHANCYC) who are gathering for their 49th Annual General Council Meeting (AGCM) seek to address the issues they are grappling with, especially pertaining their faith.
In the September 4–7 meeting being held at Tamale under the theme, “Jubilee Year: A Time to Proclaim Christ, Hope for the Church and Ghana,” the young Catholics in Ghana also hope to share their experience, and to chart a way forward in their leadership.
The meeting has brought together thousands of young Catholic leaders, Clergy, and dignitaries.
“Participants will deliberate on pertinent issues affecting the Catholic youth in Ghana, while strengthening their faith, sharing experiences, and mapping out future directions for youth leadership and mission in both the Church and wider society,” the youths leadership said in the statement they released ahead of the meeting.
They added that activities lined up for the four-day event include talks, prayer sessions, entertainment, and fellowship, all designed to deepen the spiritual, social, and leadership life of the Catholic youth.
