The Catholic Diocese of Menongue in Angola has unveiled the full program for the conclusion of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the height of which is the Solemn Festive Mass on Sunday, August 24, at the Shrine of Missombo, on the Mount of the Virgin Mary, Mother of Humanity.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, August 21, the Jubilee coordinator, Fr. Elias Ndala, recalled the key moments already held.

“On August 10, which is the actual day the Diocese was created, we held thanksgiving Masses in all our Parishes. And on Friday, August 15, a novena began,” Fr. Ndala said.

He explained that the novena, which started in the Parishes, will continue until August 21.

In an array of planned activities, a conference will be held on August 22 at the Provincial Government Auditorium on the history of the Diocese, with the participation of Bishops, government leaders, security officials, Clergy, Catechists, and Apostolic Movement leaders.

The closing celebration is scheduled for Sunday, August 24, with the unveiling of the Jubilee Plaque.
