The Chairman of the Commission for Social Communication of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) has called on Church communicators in the East African country to deepen collaboration and prioritize capacity building in their apostolate, reminding them that no voice within the Church’s communication ministry is insignificant.
In his address on Tuesday, November 18, during the ongoing annual consultative meeting of communication coordinators, radio directors, and managers from Catholic Dioceses in Kenya, Bishop Wallace Ng’ang’a Gachihi said that collaboration among Catholic media is not only for efficiency and convenience but also for “a sacramental expression of communion.”

“Each radio station, television channel, publication and diocesan office contributes uniquely to the mission of evangelization. No voice is insignificant. Every effort, when united, amplifies the message of Christ,” Bishop Wallace said in his remarks at the commencement of the annual consultative meeting happening at JJ McCarthy in the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi.
“Those who have more experience in this field and those who are just starting, each has something to offer. Let us collaborate as a team,” he said at the event that KCCB’s Commission for Social Communication organized under the theme, “Deepening collaboration and building capacity for effective evangelization and ethical media management.”
