Pope Francis has appointed Mons. Coffi Roger Anoumou who has been serving as the Rector of St. Paul Major Seminary, Djimè, in Benin as the Bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Lokossa in the West African nation.
Bishop Agbanou who turned 77 on 23 December 2022 has been at the helm of the Beninese Diocese since his Episcopal Ordination in November 2000.
Mons. Anoumou is a member of the Clergy of Benin’s Lokossa Diocese where he was born in July 1972.
Since his Priestly Ordination in December 2003, he served in various positions including formator and professor of English and Philosophy at Parakou Seminary; and Curate of St. Kisito in Nima, in the Archdiocese of Accra, Ghana.
