Mon. Joseph Francis Badji, who was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Senegal’s Kolda Diocese on January 10, granting him the “right of succession” in accordance with Canon 403 §3 of the Code of Canon Law, has expressed his acceptance of the Episcopal Mission as an act of faith and trust in God.

Pope Leo XIV Appoints Coadjutor Bishop for Senegal’s Kolda Catholic Diocese

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Mons. Joseph Francis Badji of the Diocese of Ziguinchor in Senegal, as Coadjutor Bishop of the country’s Kolda Diocese, granting him the “right of succession” in accordance with Canon 403 §3 of the Code of Canon Law.

The Saint Germaine Parish in the Diocese of Kolda located in Senegal’s Ziguinchor Region was recently broken into and consecrated hosts in the tabernacle stolen, the Parish Priest reported, Tuesday, April 21, calling for prayers for the conversion of those behind the theft at his parish church.
